Thirty eight years ago on April 24, 1972 a nineteen-year old teenage girl turned to my wife, Violet and handed her a three-day old baby boy. We were standing outside Fairview Southdale hospital in Edina, Minnesota where Jessica, her mother and a nurse carrying Jonathan, had just walked out of the hospital. They came to where we were standing, waiting beside two parked cars.

God has been calling me to come to Him, trust Him and live with Him for a long time, but I constantly refused His invitations. I was afraid to leave my securities, my future and my perspective. I did not believe that He has a good plan for me and my family, that He wants to integrate me into His perfect work. I was satisfied to financially provide for my family, I have a good job, all of us have been healthy. I was fine, but I missed something.
