REAPP

Relationship Enrichment by Applying Preventive Principles

22 hours that will change your marriage

Talking coupleIn our modern times communication between spouses has become a rare commodity. Often there is just no time to talk. Misunderstandings add to the mix when both spouses are caught up in their own challenges (job, children, school, household...).
God’s intention for every marriage is not just to function, but to experience dynamic and growing love.
The Marriage Enrichment Workshop is designed to give couples the tools they need to enrich and positively change their daily lives. It is a 22 hour experience for couples who are committed to grow in their relationship.
This workshop is not focused on problems, but rather takes a positive approach. It’s not about pushing problems back and forth.

Focus

  • Successful communication
  • Creative use of conflicts
  • Fulfilling sexuality through intimacy

Talking
The main portion of the workshop is composed of a series of practical and positive presentations of biblical and preventive principles of communication, the creative use of conflict, and sexuality. After each teaching these tools are immediately practiced through the use of more than 20 exercises which are first prepared individually, then shared with another, and finally voluntarily shared with the group. It’s not a seminar, but a dynamic, interactive workshop. As the participants do the exercises, choosing to practice the the principles being taught, attitudes and behaviors begin to change.

Each Marriage Enrichment Workshop is designed to serve 8-12 couples and led by a facilitating couple. In general nursing children who are not yet walking may accompany their parents.

Who will benefit?

Any married couple will benefit, since the purpose of the workshops is preventative. Experience shows that many who have varying degrees of troubled marriages, as well as live-in couples, also find their way to the workshops.

Can we offer this workshop in our region?

It is best to receive a training workshop. You may invite an instructor couple to come and train a group in your region. If that is not possible, persons may train themselves as leaders by following every indication in the workshop Volumes I and II. The books are self-instructive. When we train and certify facilitators, we give them authority to go forward as the Lord leads in multiplication of the workshops to reach every peoples group on the face of the earth.

I highly recommend the material on marriage written by Marilynn and Keith Hamilton. Testimonies have come from every continent about the blessings that follow this ministry to couples. These materials, and this ministry, are timely gifts for Youth With a Mission.

Dr. Tom Bloomer, International Provost  of the University of the Nations

It is rare to find marriage workshops and training manuals that are cross-culturally sensitive, based on scripture, and multipliable within developing nations. The field-tested materials developed by Marilynn and Keith Hamilton are having life-changing impact throughout the nations of the world. These resources will help transform any people group by transforming the marriages in that people group.
