Vision and purpose

To glorify God, to bring the Gospel to the unreached families of the world and to restore families to their biblical destiny, with a special focus on Africa, Eastern Europe and Korea.

Ministry overview
  1. Resources on family (books, papers, marriage assessments, etc.)
  2. Short-term missions for family ministry to Uganda each year for 3-weeks in August.
  3. Annual seminars on family, family counselling, addiction, healthy sexuality, and leadership in Australia, Korea, East and South and West Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, China, Mongolia, Cambodia (approx. 20 -30 seminars each year)
History

Bruce and Nellie Litchfield were appointed directors of YWAM Family Ministries Australia in 1992.

Soon after they commenced family camps each Easter on three occasions. They also commenced a Family DTS in 1993, a Family Ministry School in 1994 and a Family Therapy School and associated Family Therapy Clinic in 1995. These school continued for many years following. These were all very well attended schools with many overseas students.

Since 1997 the Litchfields have been engaged in many short term family mission trips to developing countries (8 countries in Eastern Europe, ten countries in Africa, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Eastern Russia and Cambodia).

They have pioneered and led Family Ministry Schools in Norway, Uganda, South Africa, Liberia as well as in Australia.
