Monday morning on August 10th all participants arrived at 11 am and were settling into clean rooms with a welcome basket and a welcome card prepared for them. The orientation and get-to-know each other program started after lunch at 4 pm. We could feel the excitement and expectations to receive from the Lord from the very first day.
Our schedule for the next 4 days:
Start the day with quiet time with the Lord + coffee :)
morning sessions after breakfast,
family and rest time after lunch,
group activity and fun after snack
worship, prayer, more group activity after dinner.
Morning sessions:
Our speakers Yura and Tanya Sokolovsky shared with everyone very openly, using Biblical principles and their own family experience. 3,5 hours passed really quickly. They were full of worship, teaching, discussion and couple assignments.
Monday WE ARE A TEAM (each family has a calling)
Tuesday GOD AND US (Father’s heart of God)
Wednesday WE ARE DIFFERENT (learning how to serve each other better)
Thursday OUR CHILDREN AND US (brining up children)
Friday I PROMISE (renewing the marriage covenant)

This is what some couples shared after the last day:
~ There was this thing that my husband and I wanted to talk about for so long, even before we got married, but were afraid. Now the Lord brought this to light and I'm so grateful that we could finally talk about it. Oksana ~
~ As I was thinking how I'm going to renew my marriage vows, the Lord convicted my of sin that I've had in my heart towards my husband. I repented and God gave me a poem that I wrote to my husband and we renewed our marriage covenant. Praise God. Katya ~
~ These teachings brought such change in our family. Thank you. Dima ~
~ During this week you talked about things that I was trying to make my husband understand for a long time. Now he heard it, but the interesting thing is that I saw the part that I have to take to improve our relationship and not wait for him. Lena
Family time / rest time:
The place we were at is located in the woods and has a wonderful swimming pool, a trampoline, volleyball, ping pong, table soccer. It was great to just relax and do things together we do so rarely.
Group activities:
First night each family was given a huge piece of paper (A1) and had to draw their family, their goal, logo or anything that they feel is special about them and share with everyone.
Second night was REALLY something. It was a fear factor game. One family member was asked to participate. Only 4 people passed to the second level and only 2 were the winners. They did these yucky things like blowing balloons taken from a soup, eating strange food in a strange order even touching warms with their face. Brrr…. But was lots of fun!!!!
Third night was an intellectual game.
Couples had to answer questions that looked simple at first hand but very tricky on the other hand. Most questions were from school books of 6-7 grades. I was amazed how little we remember from school!
Forth night was absolutely amazing because we got to see all the talents the Lord’s given in a show
“My family’s got talent”. Adults and children were singing songs, reading poems, dancing, doing dramas, playing musical instruments, counting to ten (a 2 year old!), parodying, showing pictures of God’s creation, and a lot more…
Two winners every day received good prizes like toasters, fans, coffee makers, hair driers etc.
Fifth night (the last one) – romantic evening!
Couples were dressed up. As they entered we sprinkled them with rose petals. I asked each husband before hand to make a special note that his wife would recognize and I printed them and put them on the tables. The wives had to find their table by that note and walk through the chocolate candy way to their table filled with fruits, cakes and drinks. The whole evening we were watching the sparkle in their eyes getting bigger and witnessing the love husbands and wives have towards each other through their songs, poems, funny stories, compliments and a special couple dance at the end.

All these activities made such an impact that we could never imagine. In one word – people became friends. They were going to church for so long but only a few could share deep friendship. When you play games, you are real and you can see a person from the inside, and that’s excellent because it builds bridges for the future.
Kids’ program:
We were blessed to have 6 people who organized a whole program for each day of the camp. They split the 29 kids into 3 age groups. I watched how they sing songs, learn lessons, run around, play games, or just pushing strollers with the little ones. All the workers showed humbled hearts and served us in a great way.

What do couples say?
My husband was revealed to me in a new way!
