First Family Camp in Kyrgyzstan!

July 30, 2012

Including staff we were all together 19 families; 69 participants at the camp. This is the first camp we are arranging, and we are thankful to God that everything went well! During the camp we experienced forgiveness, restoration and a new freedom in the families. Five of the participating families had experienced losing a child. R and A had recently lost their three year old daughter in a sudden and unexpected death. The camp was a time of rest, healing and blessing for them.

An interesting thing for us arranging the camp was that many of the participants said they had attended many conferences, but this was the first one especially for families were they also received new and beneficial teaching. We heard many testimonies on how God had been working with each one during the five days we were together. A and U told that they had made many wrong decisions because of not knowing. They were able to forgive each other. A knelt down and asked his wife for forgiveness, and, according to himself, he cried for the first time in his life. Before A and E came to the camp, they were on the verge of getting divorced. Also for them the teaching topics were new; especially that couples can pray and seek God together, how to raise your children and conflict solving.

U and A (both journalists) are working with radio. They said they will use some of the teaching in their radio programs. For E and J the teaching was very important. E is an engineer/mechanic and J wants to use some of the teaching at the university where she is teaching. All glory to God!

All families attending the camp experienced God’s miracles. No one felt they had come in vain, and they were all filled with joy. They really enjoyed the “romantic evening” and got an understanding of the difference between man and woman; their special needs and expectations. Many of them asked for forgiveness from each other because of lack of understanding and misunderstanding. They agreed to the motto for our ministry: Healthy families – healthy society.

Thanks to every one of you who have prayed for us! Thanks to Stefanus Alliance, Norway, for financial support! The participants said that the camp had been far beyond their expectations and expressed a desire for this ministry to continue. A special time of blessing!
