Family teams from Europe on outreach in the Philippines

Evangelize, Restore, Strengthen, Train, Challenge and Mobilize Families! This is our call in YWAM Family Ministries Philippines.

For these past seven weeks the Family Ministries Philippines team here in Baguio City have been working alongside the outreach team from the YWAM Denmark Family Discipleship Training School (F-DTS). The team consisted of seven European families coming from the nations of Denmark, Slovakia & Norway. All in all fourteen adults with seventeen children with ten of the children under five years of age and three of the children under one year of age. These families bravely ventured here to the Philippines for the outreach phase of their F-DTS.

Ministry and activities were varied and we are glad to write that many lives were changed both within the team and to those they ministered to.
Mostly the team worked within our poorer communities doing friendship evangelism, holding week long daily vacation Bible schools for the children, preaching in churches, praying for the people, cleaning communities both physically (picking up garbage ) and spiritually (through prayer, praise and worship). They also helped with our student sponsorship ministry and were able to visit some of our students' families in their homes.

When you are doing great things for God the enemy is not happy and he tried to cause disruption with their health. Needless to say the local doctor and the hospital made some new friends from Europe :-) However all this sickness in the latter part of their outreach did not prevent the team enjoying the Philippines and all it has to offer as well as they were able to enjoy the beach, the cafe's and restaurants, the swimming pools, the shopping malls, parks and playgrounds.

We thank God that the team members are mostly well now and safely on their way back to Denmark for their final week of the F-DTS.
