Family Ministries in Norway

December 18, 2009

Dear Family Ministries friends,

1.Change of leadership in FM Norway

We are just back from a great annual national workers gathering and GOfest in Stavern, down south in Norway 450 Ywam staff and 200 friends of ywam spent a few days together with celebration, teaching, worship and relationship! It has been a great time! For FM Norway this time was significant due to the official transition of leadership from Geir and Linn Byberg to Trond and Anne-Helen Saethren! For Anne-Helen and I it was a very exciting moment beeing prayed for and annointed for the task , and we are now ready to go for it in our new position. We have formed a little leadership team with Eva Britt and Haakon Rem, a great couple from Oslo, and they were prayed over as well. On Saturday we celebrated the old and the new leaders with a gathering of all who wanted to come. We served cakes and coffee in good Norwegian style and a 100 people showed up despite strong wind and heavy rain! We were also blessed by international guests as Andreas and Angela, European Directors of YWAM Family Ministries, came for the event as well as Marianne and Hans Olesen from Denmark! What a blessing to have them with us as we stepped into this new role of leadership! A special thanks also to the FMLF Europe friends for all your greetings and support, also to Larry and Vi Ballard! It is a true blessing to be a part of such a great group of leaders! God Bless you all!!

2 A little report from the summer camps for families in Norway 2009

This year we arranged 9 camps. All camps were full, with a total of 320 families. Of these almost a 100 families helped out as staff one way or another!!

A few reports: Two families brought a third non Christian family to a camp and by the end of the week both parents accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. The same thing happened with another man in the same camp! That is just great! We have seen a few significant healings taken place this year , physical as well as emotional. God is surely faithful!! For me personally I love to see families take new steps together in a process of making their life better! The steps might be big or small, but they are doers of the word, not only hearers..! I love to see families take new steps in faith and choose to go deeper with the Lord! That is the most important, and also the most frequent feedback we get from the camps. As a man said it: "we are going home after this week refreshed in every way. I love the lord more as His love was revealed to me in a new way. True that I also got a new understanding for my wife and family… We want more of this!! Thank you!!”

God is faithful as always! All the glory and honor goes back to Him!!

Sincerely yours

Trond & Anne-Helen Saethren, Directors YWAM Family Ministries Norway
