Discovering the value of family

December 08, 2011

The seminar was run three evenings a week with three hour sessions per evening. There were 15 attendants and 5 staff members, who joined us from the last time that we held the family seminar. The attendants came from various backgrounds, some married, some divorced, even widows and single people. The main topics focused on family life, marriage, parenting, dealing with addictions in family, and family counseling. Through those topics and other elements God was working in people’s life.

90% of attendants had no clue about healthy family life

90% of the attendants had no clue about healthy family life. But at the end some shared encouraging testimonies. For example one of our attendants wept a whole week in the beginning of the session realizing her lack of knowledge concerning the topic another thought she began to live her couple and marital life when the seminar started having been married for 19 years. A couple testified that they received through the teachings an anointing that set them free.

During the seminar we had worship time, small groups, and a day alone with God. Their homeworks were: verses memorization, journal, family theme study and report. We also went through some counseling time with attendants in need of it and the Lord ministered to them. We are humbly but also boldly praising the Lord because we have learnt A LOT during these two seminaries. The Lord has shown us so much faithfulness and provision.

Our joy is big for the three more people who got involved to staff the session that just started. But our main challenge is to give them more training. So we meet with them once every two weeks for a follow up.

We had a party to end the seminar, and had many guest from churches and attendants relatives. That was another opportunity to share about the Family ministry and to hand certificate over to the attendant
